TypeCon2008: Punkt

More than 450 type lovers took part in the activities at TypeCon2008: Punkt, the tenth annual SOTA conference held in Buffalo last summer. TypeCon2008 took place at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Buffalo, July 14-19, and was presented by SOTA in partnership with the Western New York Book Arts Collaborative (WNYBAC), the Buffalo Academy of Science Charter School, the Roycroft Campus Corporation/Roycroft Inn, the University at Buffalo, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. TypeCon2007: Letter Space

More than 475 type lovers took part in TypeCon2007, the ninth annual SOTA conference held in Seattle last summer. TypeCon2007 took place at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Seattle, August 1-5, 2007, and was presented by SOTA in partnership with Cornish College of the Arts, the School of Visual Concepts, and the University of Washington. TypeCon2006: The Boston T Party

More than 450 type lovers took part in TypeCon2006, the eighth annual SOTA conference held in Boston last August. TypeCon2006 took place at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Boston, August 9-13, 2006, and was presented by SOTA in partnership with the Massachusetts College of Art and the Museum of Printing in North Andover. TypeCon2005: Alphabet City | New York

Close to 500 type lovers attended TypeCon2005, the seventh annual SOTA conference held in New York City last July. NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg proclaimed July 18-24 to be "Type Week" in Gotham as the city celebrated its letter-filled heritage. TypeCon2005 took place at Parsons School of Design in New York, July 20-24, 2005, and was presented by SOTA with the Type Directors Club, in association with the American Printing History Association and Typophile.

TypeCon2004: Type High | San Francisco

TypeCon2004 was held July 21-25, 2004, in San Francisco. SOTA’s sixth annual conference featured a diverse program of presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and special events. More than 60 speakers and workshop leaders participated in the event, which attracted almost 500 attendees from around the world.
